As a Baltimore County resident, I have done my part to make our community
a better place to live and work. I have been active with the League of
Women Voters, the Citizens Planning and Housing Association, and the American
Association of University Women. As an educator and concerned parent,
I have served as president of the PTA. Now I want to be your delegate.
I am running to make sure my granddaughter, Madelyn, can attend great
public schools, have green parks and open space to play, and have affordable
health care coverage. I am also running to fight for what matters. My
son, Nick Ziolkowski, was killed in Iraq almost two years ago. He joined
the Marines so he could fight for what he believed in. Nick’s example
reinforced my desire to serve the public and fight for what’s important
to all of us. I want our children to grow up safe and secure. It matters
that our children and grandchildren are happy, healthy, safe, well-educated,
and have the opportunity to succeed. I will work hard in the House of
Delegates for strong families and healthy communities – because
above all else, Maryland matters.
